ProSep Inc. (formerly known as TORR Canada inc.), is a Canadian chartered publicly listed Company on the Toronto Stock Exchange. In 2003, it received venture capital investments to complete the development of its flagship produced water treatment TORRTM system and commercialize it to the upstream O&G industry. Between 2003 and 2007, ProSep completed several additional rounds of financings, sold its TORRTM system to large O&G producers in the North Sea, Africa, and Middle-East, and on the heels of this success, acquired a Norwegian company called Pure Group AS from a private equity investment fund and Statoil.Thru this accretive acquisition and organic growth, ProSep transformed itself from a one product company based out of Montreal, Canada to a global provider of process solutions for the upstream oil and gas industry. Since 2010, many former NATCO Group executives and engineers have joined ProSep's ranks, providing ProSep with one of the upstream process industry's most experienced and recognized team.
ProSep offers one of the industry's most comprehensive portfolio of solutions to treat oil, natural gas and produced water along with an innovative patented mass transfer technology for the injection and mixing of chemicals and wash water. This unique technology is quickly gaining recognition as an efficient alternative to conventional mixing systems for various applications such as crude blending, crude desalting, gas scavenging, gas dehydration and produced water treatment. Under various operating conditions, these patented systems improve production capacity, output quality and allow producers to reduce their consumption of expensive chemicals, energy and/or wash water typically used in upstream oil and gas processing.
Since 2003, ProSep designed and delivered over 150 projects for customers operating around the world, for both onshore and offshore facilities. ProSep currently employs 100 professionals, mostly engineers and is headquartered in Canada with operations in Houston (Texas), Haugesund (Norway), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and a commercial partner serving the South Korean EPC industry.
