Near Zero Discharge Offerings

Produced water treatment for the future.

CTour

In response to increasing produced water volume combined with stricter discharge legislation, ProSep offers the CTour process. The process is one of the only technologies in the world that can cost-effectively remove both dispersed and dissolved hydrocarbons from large volumes of produced water. It does this through injecting a condensate of light hydrocarbons into the produced water stream to extract the harmful components. The CTour process breaks ground as a step change in the treatment approach for produced waters and has served as a vehicle in facilitating “Zero Harmful Discharges” legislation in the North Sea. Aside from environmental advantages, the CTour process provides improved separation efficiency for debottlenecking your produced water treatment problems.

Typical CTour Process

    1. Condensate is injected and mixed with the produced water.
    2. Hydrocarbon contaminants are extracted; oil and condensate droplets coalesce.
    3. The condensate is separated from the produced water in the hydrocyclone and routed back to the main process.

ProSep’s CTour Offering

  • Prediction of performance
  • Process definition for implementation of CTour process in both green field and brown field applications
  • Configuration and specification of equipment for full-scale installation
  • Project execution
  • Commissioning, start-up assistance, and operational support
  • Field testing

ProSep Inc., which consists of ProSep, ProPure AS, ProSep ME, and ProSep AP, is the exclusive supplier of the patented CTour technology.

TORRTM De-Oiling Technology

The TORRTM de-oiling technology, with its small footprint and ability to replace less efficient de-oiling equipment, exceeds today's discharge regulations in the treatment of produced water for offshore producers and operators. The scalable technology addresses future increases in water cut. Adding compact TORRTM vessels requires very little real estate when water cuts increase.

TORRTM Features

  • Small footprint and low weight
  • Better polishing for reinjection applications
  • Same high de-oiling efficiency during production start-up periods
  • No additional treatment required for recovered oil
  • Minimal pressure drop and maintenance
  • Minimal operation costs
  • High flow rate turndown
  • No moving internal parts
  • No added heat or chemicals
