ProSep to Supply $3.6 Million Produced Water Treatment System to Oil and Gas Super Major
Proprietary Solution to be Installed on Offshore Platform in the North Sea

MONTREAL, QUEBEC – January 27, 2010 - ProSep Inc. (TSX: PRP), dedicated to providing process
solutions to the oil and gas industry, today announced it was awarded a $3.6 million (CAD) contract to supply a
proprietary CTour produced water treatment system for an offshore redevelopment project located in the
Norwegian Continental Shelf. Designed to treat 35,000 BWPD (barrels of water per day) the CTour will retrofit
an existing process to improve treatment capacity and efficiently remove dissolved hydrocarbons in produced
water, allowing the producer to exceed strict overboard discharge regulations. Delivery of the system is expected to occur during the second quarter of 2010.

“This contract confirms our position as leading providers of produced water treatment systems in the region. By
utilising our proprietary CTour process, our client will be able to meet the world’s strictest overboard discharge
regulations,” said Jacques L. Drouin, President and CEO of ProSep Inc. “Working closely with our customers, our
produced water experts have pioneered best available technologies that are allowing the oil and gas industry to
treat increasing volumes of produced water while meeting the strictest environmental concerns.”

Around the world, seawater and produced water injection are being used to optimize oil recovery. The CTour’s
compactness and ability to efficiently remove both dispersed and dissolved hydrocarbons from large volumes of
produced water has made it a technology of choice for offshore platforms where condensate is available. This
patented process already polishes two-thirds of the produced water discharged in the Norwegian sector of the
North Sea. When operating at optimal performance, the CTour achieves residual oil discharges of less than 3ppm, a ground breaking treatment process that has facilitated zero harmful discharge legislation in the North Sea.
