ProSep To Expand Whiting Petroleum's Wickett CO2 Facility

March 2009 - ProSep Technologies, Inc., has received a PO to expand its current membrane unit operating at Whiting Petroleum’s Wickett CO2 Removal Facility in West Texas. ProSep’s expansion equipment will increase treating capacity from 40 MMSCFD to 60 MMSCFD.

Whiting Petroleum's 50% increase in production called for the additional equipment despite the better-than-design performance and additional treating capacity of the existing membrane equipment. The plant reduces the CO2 content from over 90% to below 10%.

"The modularity of the membrane technology and the re-use of the initial equipment engineering will make this seemingly substantial treating capacity expansion very seamless and cost-effective," said Lew Mologne, President of ProSep Technologies, Inc.

The Wickett facility recovers CO2 from high-CO2 associated gas for EOR re-injection. ProSep's expansion equipment is scheduled to be delivered in Q3 09.
