CTOUR C-tour ProSep produced water treatment

The patented CTour™ process equipment removes both dispersed oil and water soluble organics through condensate injection into produced water streams.  The CTour Process has been effectively utilized in applications ranging from primary to tertiary separation for produced water treatment systems.

CTOUR

The CTour (c-tour) process utilizes the principles of solvent extraction to remove residual hydrocarbons from produced water by injected condensate into the process stream.  During condensate injection and inline mixing, hydrocarbon contaminants are extracted from the produced water stream, where the contaminants and injected condensate coalesce to form larger and lighter oil droplets. These oil droplets are hydraulically or mechanically separated from the produced water stream by downstream treatment equipment and routed to applicable oil process streams.

FOR — USE WITH HYDROCYCLONES & IGF/CFU’S

  • Hydrocyclones: Increased mechanical efficiency due to greater density differential between oil droplets and water
  • IGF/CFU’s: Hydraulic efficiency increased due to larger & lighter oil droplets.

The CTour (c-tour) Process routinely yields residual oil discharges of < 5 ppm total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH), while at the same time removing 80-95% of harmful water soluble organics, such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethyl-benzene and xylene) components.  The CTour Process is utilized extensively in Norway, treating 2/3rds of their produced water, which is more than 2 million barrels per day.

This unique process can be implemented at any offshore platform, onshore gathering site or production facility, including process upgrades, debottlenecking and retrofits where condensate is available.

ProSep offers a variety of downstream separation units that couple with the CTour process, such as Hydrocyclones, IGF’s, or CFU’s. ProSep produced water treatment technical expertise for specifying these solutions allows us to adapt solutions to suit specific process conditions at the target location.
